Yes, a screw and a wall plug are included. If you lose them or need new ones, you can order them here.

How do I mount the rope wardrobe?
Drill a hole with a 10mm drill bit for the included multipurpose dowel. You can either drill into the ceiling or the wall. You can also tie it to a cross beam or some other sturdy fixed point.

How can the loops be adjusted?
The rope is actually a soft tube. Inside it, right where the loops are, there's a solid wire. The wire can’t bend - but you can push it up or down inside the rope, a bit like threading a waistband with a safety pin when sewing.This lets you shift the position of each loop - but it doesn’t change the rope’s total length.

What ceiling height is the wardrobe suitable for?
Thanks to height-adjustable loops it is suitable for any ceiling height between 2.4 m and 3.6 m. If the 2.4 meter long wardrobe does not meet your needs, we recommend for you to measure the height of your ceiling and subtract 20cm from that length for your custom Loop Rope order.

How much weight can the hanging wardrobe stand?
Loop Rope withstands up to 20kg load. The actual weight-bearing capacity of the wardrobe depends also on the material of your ceiling. You don't need to worry about concrete or wood. If you have a suspended ceiling, it is best to ask a specialist.

How many and what kind of items can the hanging wardrobe carry?
Loop Rope can safely hold jackets, coats, cardigans, scarves, dresses, bags, hats, umbrellas, towels and any other everyday item you can think of. Consider that each individual loop can carry approximately up to 3 jackets/coats. So, the Loop Rope can safely hold a total of up to 12 jackets/coats.

Can the Loop Rope carry my child?
Well, if your child weighs less than 20 kg, yes, but we do not recommend it under any circumstances. Safety first!

Does the Loop Rope wardrobe stain?
In a nutshell: no! The Loop Rope is made of polypropylene rope and is therefore extremely UV-resistant, waterproof and sweat-proof. It does not stain or discolor, even when it gets wet. Even weather conditions have no influence on this type of rope. So your Loop Rope is absolutely safe - even outdoors.

FAQ

Does the 240cm length include the loops, or is that the rope before the loops are made?

This is the question we get most often, so here's the clearest answer we can give: the 240cm measurement is from the top bolt to the bottom aluminium end cap, with the loops already integrated. The actual rope before looping is over 3 metres long — that extra length is what creates the loops. Allow around 5cm of tolerance either way, and keep in mind the rope will stretch slightly once weight is on it.

What length hanging wardrobe do I need for my ceiling height?

Subtract 20cm from your ceiling height — that gap gives the rope its characteristic floating effect off the floor and keeps items from dragging. The standard 240cm works well for most ceilings between 2m and 3m, which covers the vast majority of homes. If your ceiling falls outside that range, choose the custom length option and enter your measurement there.

Does a longer Loop Rope have more loops?

No — the standard rope comes with 4 loops regardless of length. If you choose the custom option, you can request as many loops as you like at no extra cost. One thing worth knowing: the loops are rigid and can't be straightened out or removed from the rope — they can only be slid up and down to different positions.

Can the loops be moved or repositioned?

Yes. The rope is hollow, and inside each loop sits a rigid wire that holds its shape. The wire can't bend, but you can push it up or down inside the tube to shift the loop's position — like threading a waistband. This lets you adjust spacing and height without changing the total length of the rope.

Can a ceiling hanging wardrobe be mounted on a plasterboard or drywall ceiling?

We don't recommend it as a first choice, since plasterboard can't reliably hold heavy loads. That said, if wall mounting isn't an option and you're careful about weight, we've found the best method is to drill a hole and drive the screw directly into the plasterboard without a wall anchor — counter-intuitively, this is actually safer, because if the load does get too heavy and the screw works loose, it fails gradually rather than catastrophically. Don't overload it, and check it periodically. For anything heavier, mount on the wall instead using the exact same method as ceiling installation.

How do I install a ceiling-mounted rope wardrobe?

Drill a 10mm hole and insert the included multipurpose wall anchor (also called a wall plug) into concrete, wood or a solid ceiling. Screw in the top bolt using a Torx screwdriver — a Torx bit is standard in virtually any screwdriver bit set. You can also skip the anchor entirely and tie the rope directly to a crossbeam or other sturdy fixed point. Hardware is included; you just need your own Torx screwdriver.

What type of wall anchor should I use?

The included wall anchor is a multipurpose plug that works across most common ceiling and wall materials — concrete, brick, solid wood. For the majority of homes, you won't need anything else.

What type of wall anchor should I use for a suspended ceiling?

For a suspended ceiling where you want to go through to the solid structure above, toggle anchors can work — but what's right depends on your specific ceiling construction and how much you plan to hang. When in doubt, a specialist can assess the situation quickly.

How far does the Loop Rope hang from the wall when wall-mounted?

About 8cm. The top bolt holds the rope out from the surface, giving it a clean floating appearance even when mounted on a wall rather than the ceiling.

Can I shorten a Loop Rope that's too long?

Two options. The simplest: tie a knot near the top to take up the excess — no tools, fully reversible. The more permanent route: remove the aluminium end cap, trim the rope to length, and reattach the cap. Note: custom-made Loop Ropes can't be returned under EU regulations, so if you're ordering a custom length, measure carefully first.

How much weight can a hanging rope wardrobe hold?

Up to 20kg total — around 7 heavy winter coats. Each individual loop holds approximately 3 jackets or coats if you really want to push it. The practical ceiling also depends on your mounting surface: concrete and solid wood are no problem. Plasterboard and suspended ceilings need more care — wall mounting is a better choice in those situations.

What ceiling height is the Loop Rope suitable for?

The standard 240cm rope works well for ceilings between 2m and 3m. For anything outside that range, use the custom length option at checkout and enter the length you need.

Can a rope hanging wardrobe replace a closet in a small apartment?

Absolutely — it takes up zero floor space, mounts from a single point, and holds a full rotation of outerwear, scarves, bags and accessories. It's one of the best solutions for a hallway without a coat closet or a bedroom corner with no wardrobe. What also works beautifully is installing several Loop Ropes side by side to create a fuller hanging system. One thing to keep in mind: clothes hang freely so they can move around, which means wrinkle-prone pieces are better on hangers — pairing your Loop Rope with Rope Hangers gives you the best of both.

Can the Loop Rope be used outdoors?

Yes. PP rope is UV-resistant, waterproof and weatherproof — it won't fade, stain or degrade in outdoor conditions. The aluminium caps don't corrode. Rain, humidity, direct sun: all fine.

Does the rope wardrobe stain or discolor?

No. Polypropylene doesn't absorb moisture, sweat or dirt and won't discolor even when wet. Damp coats, wet towels, outdoor gear — hang them without worry.

Can the Loop Rope carry a child?

No. While the rope itself can technically hold the weight, we strongly advise against it for two reasons: first, the loops will permanently deform under a person's weight. Second — and more importantly — the safe load of any installed product depends entirely on how well it's mounted, and that's something we can't control or guarantee. If the anchor fails with a person hanging from it, the consequences are serious. It's a wardrobe, not a climbing frame.

Is fixing hardware included with the hanging wardrobe?

Yes — a screw and wall anchor are included. You'll need your own Torx screwdriver to drive the main screw in; a Torx bit is part of virtually any standard screwdriver bit set. If you need replacement hardware, it's available to reorder on the site.

Can two Loop Ropes be joined together for a very high ceiling?

Not as designed. For ceilings above 360cm, choose the custom length option at checkout and enter your desired length in the notes — we'll make it to measure.

Can the Loop Rope be customized or branded?
