The Grid
Be honest
ever stepped on a LEGO brick?
The problem
I’ve noticed storage usually comes in two kinds. Fixed cabinets and shelves keep things tidy, but you have to go to them and things end up scattered around the house anyway. Loose boxes and crates are easy to carry, but they’re ugly utility objects you’d rather hide.
My idea
Storage that’s tidy and portable at the same time, and pretty enough so that it can stay out in the room. Everything that belongs together goes in one box and the box goes wherever you need it.
How it works
I thought of EuroBox, the industry-standard storage box, framed by steel top and bottom plates. Use a single box with an open top, or stack several between one set of plates. Thanks to its modular design and handy handles, you can remove it from its grid and carry it to the place you need it to be. Your sewing kit, your tools, your painting brushes, your records, your board games. Or the LEGOs. Everything you need to have close to you.
So, no more excuses for not putting legos back in their box after the game is over. :)
