wouldn't it be great to have Saturn in your living room?

The problem

Okay, this one isn’t a practical problem, it’s mostly an aesthetic one. I just love Saturn, and I thought its shape would make a beautiful and dreamy light.

My idea

A pendant light that turns the bare design bulb that’s been hanging from your ceiling for way too long into something different: a little planet, rings and all.

How it works

I imagined it as a complete set: lamp, bulb and its cable, but it will also work with any bulb socket already hanging from your ceiling, so if you have one, you can just get the rings and the bulb. Set the rings straight or tilt them to the side like the real Saturn and change their position whenever you feel like. The tilt also shapes the light: angle the rings and you decide where the light falls and where the shade goes. 

The details

• Full set: lamp, bulb and cable
• Rings only: rings and bulb, for any bulb socket already hanging from your ceiling
• Ring position: straight or tilted, adjustable anytime
• Light: the tilt of the rings directs where light and shade fall
• Removable: slide the rings off and the bulb is just a bulb again
