We at Peppermint Products have been working for over 7 years with a social workshop near Stuttgart. People with different backgrounds meet in this workshop, each of them is confronted with a special situation. They do not work full time, but when they do, they are fully dedicated to their tasks.
A small team of people in this workshop assembles our rope products one by one by hand. They work on the product from start to finish, and they will not deliver anything that does not meet their standards - and believe us, their standards are quite high! Also, we have seen it with our own eyes, the feeling of fulfillment that a handmade product offers to them.
This is Heinz. During a visit in the workshop our designer Roman approached him. Heinz was so focused on his work that he didn't even notice him, and still he didn't want to talk, he wanted to finish his work first. Only when everything was finished in perfect quality, did Heinz feel ready to talk. Keyword commitment and efficiency!
So yes, we want to give these people the chance to use their skills to create something themselves. But they deliver results of such high quality that we would not have done it otherwise! The workshop team has proven to be our longest and one of the most valuable and reliable partners we have ever had. And we are grateful to work with them!
